Our approach to your data
Maharashtra Rank is built around one rule: we only process your information after you take an action that gives us your consent, and we keep what we collect to the minimum needed to show you your score and rank.
What we collect, and why
- Your response-sheet answers. When you paste your official response-sheet link and choose to check your score, we read your selected options against the answer key to calculate your marks. We do this only after you click the check-score button — that click is your consent.
- Category, gender and horizontal-category selections. If you provide these, we use them only to place you in the correct category-wise rank comparison.
- Candidate / participant number. Used so you can look up your own previously calculated score later, without recalculating it.
What we never do
- We never store your response-sheet file or the full response-sheet URL.
- We never sell, rent, trade, or share your data with advertisers, recruiters, data brokers, or any other third party.
- We never use your data to contact you outside of this website.
What we store
We store a compact record of your selected option for each Question ID, your declared category/gender/horizontal category, and your candidate number, so that if the official answer key is later revised, your score and rank can be recalculated automatically without asking you to resubmit anything.
Aggregate & anonymous statistics
We show live, anonymous participation statistics (such as total candidates checked, gender split, and category-wise activity) to give context to your rank. These figures are aggregated and never identify an individual candidate. The "Top 10" list on this site shows scores only, with candidate identities hidden.
Your choices
You can use the "Search by Candidate ID" feature at any time to view your own saved score. If you would like your data removed, please contact us using the details on our Contact Us page.
Cookies & local storage
We use your browser's local storage only to remember your theme (light/dark) and language (English/Marathi) preference on this device. This is not used for tracking or advertising.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date below. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
